This is a great little spot. I can't comment on the food, because we only stopped in for a few drinks after dinner elsewhere. But this is exactly what Escondido needs--I small, clean, friendly bar with neighborhood vibe. The tap list was solid and service was great. We can't wait to return Friday to try the food. The food was fair, cold decaf coffee, cold gluten free pancake (costs $1.00 more), a side of eggs and bacon. Actually, the whole meal was cold. I had to ask for preserves or syrup for the pancake, eggs and bacon to be re-heated.
This was an insane amount of food! We took most of our meal home, which made for great leftovers the next day. Our service was fast and friendly - and the complimentary chips and salsa were plentiful. I also love that Valle Escondido is locally owned, with four locations across the Tri-State.
