I've had Lost Sectors that I've run through and basically only killed the champs and the boss and opened my loot. The adds don't matter, the champions do. 3. The Lost Sector was designated to drop Helmets. We just got lucky like you. You can run them in a fireteam but exotics only drop on solo clears. You can get exotics, but they will not be that days slot specific nor does it have bad luck protection. To get slot specific and get guaranteed new items you have to run solo.
